In the upcoming months, I will be assistant directing the musical The Old Man and The Old Moon alongside Emily Ritger. During the previous semester, I met with Emily various times to get to know each other, outline our working relationship, and plan for the project. I have also been able to participate in design meetings with the department's faculty and student designers, learning how the director's role functions to facilitate the design process. Directing is an area of theatre I’ve been interested in for a few years but I haven’t had many opportunities to engage with it. I’m so excited to see where this project goes and to experiment with directing. I’ll keep you updated :)
